Our 5kg Chicken box contains a pleasant variety of cuts which should satisfy a range of meals for your cooking adventures.
Included in our 5kg Chicken box is a minimum of 5kg of pasture raised wholesome Cartapo Creek Chicken meat. We say minimum because each portion is weighed and packed individually and may come in over the expected weight but never under, however in order to keep the ordering process simple we just round it down to 5kg.
In your box you can expect the following:
- 1 X Whole chicken ready to roast or portion out to your own requirements weights range from 2.0kg to 2.5kg, (similar to a medium chook at the grocery store).
- 1kg of leg meat in a maryland, with skin on, these contain roughly 4 legs but may vary depending on size of birds.
- 1kg of Breast meat including the tender loin, perfect for schnitzels or dicing. Packs contain 3 to 4 breast fillets with skin on.
- 1kg of wings, chicken wings not buffalo wings… But seriously these wings are packed full of wholesome meat and can be cooked entire or halved to form wingette and drumettes.
Chicken box availability may vary depending on supply and demand and fox visits, typically we can expect to have an order turned around in 2 to 3 weeks, however if extended waits are expected I will keep you informed accordingly. If any of the above items aren available I will communicate with you regarding a replacement option as necessary.
